Both bride and groom must apply in person in any county in Georgia, as long as one is a resident of Georgia.  If neither is a resident of Georgia, then, then the couple must register in the county where the ceremony will be performedThe license does not have an expiration date.

To get a marriage license in Georgia, without parental consent, both applicants must be 18 years of age.
